Master Instructors is pleased to announce that Rochelle Oslick of Oxnard, California has received her Third Designation as a Master Instructor-Aerobatic. Rochelle learned to fly at the Edwards cAFB Flying Club, while stationed there as a USAF Flight Test Engineer. She started flying tailwheel/aerobatic airplanes at Santa Paula Airport in 1988. Rochelle’s aerospace engineering career led her to work at Lockheed, Douglas Aircraft Company and The Boeing Company, so she based her flying at several other airports in southern California and in western Washington. In 2003, Rochelle started flight instructing part-time, mostly in tailwheel and aerobatic airplanes, in the Seattle area. After retiring from Boeing, Rochelle returned to her favorite airport, KSZP, and is a CFI at CP Aviation. In addition to flying the airplanes in the CP Aviation fleet, Rochelle enjoys flying her own Christen Eagle II aerobatic biplane.
Master Instructors is honored to welcome a new first-time member of the Master Instructor Community. David McCormack of Pensacola, Florida learned to fly at age 18 and aviation has been in his blood ever since. The passion led him through an exciting career in the Air Force, where he served as an EC-130 Evaluator Navigator (Davis Monthan AFB) and Instructor Combat Systems Officer teaching advanced navigation and tactical weapons employment on the T-1A Jayhawk (NAS Pensacola). Calling it quits after 20 years, David now a local Part 61 Flight Instructor, a personally owned PA32 driver and Civil Air Patrol volunteer as an Instructor/Check/Mission and Cadet Orientation Ride Pilot. If he’s not flying, you’ll likely find him on the links, the water, or the slopes in Colorado with the wife, two kids and their dog.
